We’re heavy users of Bitbucket Data Center but we can’t move to Cloud. What should we do?
  

We understand your source code and CI/CD pipelines are mission-critical, and your organization may need to keep them self-managed. To provide maximum flexibility, Bitbucket and Bamboo Data Center will not end of life and will continue beyond the Data Center end of life in 2029. We are offering the Bitbucket Hybrid License, which provides access to Bitbucket Data Center, Bamboo Data Center, and Bitbucket Cloud with Pipelines under a single unified subscription.

When your current subscription ends, you can choose to renew to the Bitbucket Hybrid License.

Your Bitbucket Data Center and Bamboo Data Center environments will remain right where they are. No data transfer is required.
Which hosting environments will the new Bitbucket Hybrid License include?
  

The Bitbucket Hybrid License gives you access to Bitbucket Data Center, Bamboo Data Center, and Bitbucket Cloud with Pipelines. With this unified license, you can maintain your existing Bitbucket and Bamboo Data Center footprint.

When you're ready to move workloads to Bitbucket Cloud, you'll have access to innovations such as built-in CI/CD with Bitbucket Pipelines and AI-powered capabilities including AI-generated PR descriptions, AI-assisted code reviews, and automated pipeline diagnostics, and more. 
Will the new Bitbucket Hybrid License be different than Bitbucket Data Center and Bitbucket Cloud from a product perspective?
  

Bitbucket Data Center, Bamboo Data Center, and Bitbucket Cloud will continue to operate as separate product experiences. We plan to build tighter integration across Data Center and Cloud to enable you to more seamlessly benefit from the features across these products.

For example, self-managed repos and build pipelines are expected to get access to some of our Bitbucket Cloud innovations. More details will be shared as they become available.
When will the new Bitbucket Hybrid License be available?
  

Existing Bitbucket Data Center, Bitbucket Server, Bamboo Data Center and Bamboo Server customers will be able to upgrade to the Bitbucket Hybrid License in early 2027. Enter your information at the top of the page, and we'll notify you with the exact availability date as we get closer.
How can I migrate my data to cloud on the Bitbucket Hybrid License?
  

Existing Bitbucket and Bamboo Data Center customers can continue using their licenses uninterrupted. When ready, customers can migrate their data through these paths:

What happens if I do not move to the new Bitbucket Hybrid License when the Bitbucket Data Center and Bamboo Data Center licenses are no longer available?
  

Bitbucket Data Center and Bamboo Data Center are subscription products, so after March 28, 2029 at 23:59 PST, the Bitbucket Data Center and Bamboo Data Center applications will switch to read-only mode and users will no longer be able to push code. Bamboo Data Center will only be available as part of the Bitbucket Hybrid License beyond this date.
Who is eligible for Bitbucket Hybrid License?
  

The Bitbucket Hybrid License is only offered to existing Bitbucket Data Center, Bitbucket Server, Bamboo Data Center and Bamboo Server customers.
