Marketplace Partner Agreement - Summary of Changes

Effective December 1, 2025

We’re updating the terms that apply to your use of the Atlassian Marketplace to update references to Atlassian Apps, move Forge Privacy Claims to the Atlassian Developer Terms, and make other clarifications and improvements. For more information, please read the full Atlassian Marketplace Partner Agreement.

Highlights from the update:

  • Atlassian “products” are now “apps.” We’ve updated the language throughout the Marketplace Partner Agreement to better align with new terms used across our documentation. For more details, please see our community announcement.

  • Forge Privacy Claims have a new home. Our enhanced liability cap for Forge Privacy Claims has moved to the Atlassian Developer Terms for the benefit of all developers, including those whose apps are not listed on the Atlassian Marketplace.

  • Other miscellaneous improvements. We’ve made a variety of smaller changes, including typo fixes and clarifications around topics such as how Atlassian policies interact with End User Terms.

The new terms go into effect on December 1, 2025 for new Marketplace Partners. For existing Marketplace Partners, the new terms will take effect on January 1, 2026. If you do not agree to any of the changes, your sole remedy is to terminate this Agreement prior to the date on which the changes are to take effect by (i) providing written notice to Atlassian and (ii) retiring all of your Marketplace Apps.

This is the agreement between Atlassian and third party individuals, Marketplace Partners or companies that list Marketplace Apps in Atlassian’s Marketplace. It governs the amount that Marketplace Partners get paid and when, their obligations to Marketplace Users (such as security, provision of legal terms to users, and so on), and other rules of the road for listing Marketplace Apps.
